Fred Cooksey has been teaching college English for more than fifteen years. For the last ten years he has been at Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where he teaches composition, literature, creative nonfiction, and journalism. He has taught in private liberal arts colleges, universities, and prisons. He has a B.A. in Philosophy from George Mason University, an M.A. in English, also from GMU, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
